PRTG vs. ManageEngine: All-in-one monitoring software for your entire network, all features included
PRTG is a comprehensive monitoring software solution for your entire IT infrastructure. It lets you keep a constant eye on your servers, applications, virtual environment, and important hardware, as well as many other network components.
With ManageEngine by Zoho, you have to choose between individual functions and purchase several modules to access the full range of features. Extra monitoring software for features such as application performance monitoring or endpoint management can quickly drive up costs and make it difficult to decide upon the right solution.
PRTG solves all this with its unparalleled set of included monitoring and IT management capabilities, its intuitive feel, easy-to-read dashboards, customizable alarms, network mapping, and more. This means you can stop juggling separate specialized tools that offer only isolated solutions and cost precious time.

4 more reasons why PRTG is the better alternative to ManageEngine
Monitoring that doesn’t break the bank
PRTG is extremely cost-effective despite its comprehensive range of features. When you put together a software package with ManageEngine OpManager, the purchase price can quickly go through the roof. And this price will have to be approved beforehand by your higher-ups.
Many of our customers have enjoyed significant savings by switching from ManageEngine OpManager to PRTG. You’re sure to find that PRTG quickly pays dividends. Over the long run, our network monitoring tool saves you a great deal of time and money.
Every functionality you need included
With ManageEngine OpManager, you’re stuck with the cumbersome task of selecting modules. And if you need an upgrade, you’ll have to pay extra for other products such as Application Manager for application monitoring or the help desk software ServiceDesk Plus.
However, PRTG includes everything you need for comprehensive network monitoring. Subscription licenses are both fair and transparent. You simply choose the license size that best suits the size of your network and the number of endpoints you wish to monitor.
Fast, easy setup and great ease-of-use
As a sysadmin, you'll save the most time when your monitoring software is easy to configure and operate. With PRTG, you can add network devices and suitable sensors with just a few clicks. Thanks to search query automation and easy-to-understand setup instructions, PRTG is ready to use in no time at all.
Not only do our customers find our tool to be extremely user-friendly and intuitive, but independent tests also demonstrate the outstanding usability of PRTG. In comparison to alternative monitoring tools such as ManageEngine OpManager, PRTG always ranks as the most user-friendly software.

Save time and money with free distributed monitoring
If your company operates from numerous locations, distributed network monitoring can be a challenge. With most monitoring and management platforms such as ManageEngine OpManager, several licenses and modules are required. With PRTG’s remote monitoring and management (RMM) capabilities, monitoring distributed networks is easy and doesn’t cost extra.
Scenario 1
Monitor several locations from one central IT environment
Simply install the central PRTG server in your main network. Free remote probes, which run as light-weight services in your remote infrastructures, will collect monitoring data from your distributed sites and send it back to the central server in encrypted form. The only requirement is that they can communicate with the PRTG server via the internet.
Scenario 2
Monitor different customers as a Managed Service Provider
With a PRTG license, MSPs can also offer monitoring services to their customers. The central PRTG server then runs on-premises in the MSP’s own network, or cloud-based and hosted by us. Remote probes are installed in each customer’s network. A comprehensive remote access rights management system allows to decide which parts of the monitoring customers can access.
