Where do I find the License Name, License Key, and System ID?

To find the license information you need for manually activating your PRTG Network Monitor license, log in to the PRTG web interface and go to Setup | License Information.

What is a failover node?

PRTG comes with a built-in failover cluster for high-availability monitoring. A failover cluster consists of two separate PRTG core server installations, where one server acts as the master node and one server as the failover node.

What does manual license activation or offline license activation mean?

PRTG Network Monitor usually activates your license automatically via the internet during the installation process. Only if the system that runs your PRTG server cannot connect to the Paessler activation server, you must manually activate your license.
