Paessler to Provide Network Monitoring Demonstrations at Cisco Live

WAKEFIELD, Mass. And NUREMBERG, Germany, June 26, 2017 – Paessler AG, the innovative network monitoring specialist, today announced that engineers from the company will provide demonstrations of PRTG at the Paessler booth, #818, at Cisco Live - held June 26-29, 2017 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.  Benjamin Day, senior systems engineer at Paessler, will also present a session on network monitoring to delegates at the Tech Field Day Extra event occurring at Cisco Live, on Wednesday, June 28, 2017.

Providing a comprehensive, real-time view of networks, systems and applications, PRTG enables IT teams to monitor systems, devices, traffic and applications in today’s increasingly complex IT infrastructures with one solution.  Easily set up and configured, and featuring an intuitive interface that is highly adaptable and customizable, PRTG helps system administrators at companies of all sizes simplify their jobs and ensure that they are the first to know when problems arise.  The solution works seamlessly with numerous sensors to gain a full picture of even the most extensive networks.

“Today’s networks are growing more complex as transformative computing trends like cloud, the Internet of Things, virtualization and the move towards digital business redefine the traditional hub-and-spoke architecture and the very idea of a network edge,” said Day.  “Not surprisingly, this makes it nearly impossible to oversee IT infrastructures to ensure their security and optimize their performance - let alone identify potential problems - using traditional methods.  PRTG addresses this new reality while giving system administrators the peace of mind they need to transform their networks for the future.”

In February 2017, Paessler surveyed more than 2,000 IT decision makers from nearly 100 countries to assess the state of cloud adoption as detailed in its report “The State of Cloud Accepantance by SMBs.”  The findings revealed that many of the same IT trends that have transformed large, global organizations are trickling down into smaller and medium-sized businesses and enterprises.  Specifically, IT decision makers plan to roll out more advanced cloud deployments, with applications largely residing in the cloud in the coming years - a development that will require a change in how IT professionals maintain their networks.

“As the modern network becomes increasingly fluid and continues to extend far beyond the confines not only of the data center, but also the local area network, network administrators will be challenged in new ways as they work to manage their infrastructure,” adds Day.  “The capabilities we will be showing at Cisco Live empower our customers to overcome these issues while gaining a full view of their network regardless of whether it resides off premises, on premises or in a hybrid environment.”
